Great grEmlins & greenies…I’m back! celebrated my last doggie chemo last week…and our Halloween was spoooooktacular! A small incident with my dad’s car windshield.... seriously? Soooo much to tell …gotta think about how to best catch you up!!! Stay tuned…but first look at what my mom carved up for me & chessie! Booooo!!!!

I'm not feeling so good....something is not agreeing with me!!!!! My dad is taking good care of me 'cause Mom's on a trip (more about that later) Hope this doesn't last! So much for not having to go to the doctor this week! Bleecchhh!

CHEMO #8

Last week, 8/12, came treatment #8...it was fine but I stayed longer 'cause they wanted to keep an eye on me longer after I got the medicine. Something about how that particular medicine might affect my heart (see I get different medicines different weeks...once in awhile I get several pills...but most of the time it's infusion and they put the little thingey in my leg)...seemed okay to me....I just took naps and hung out. Everybody is always so sweet to me, and I get a lot of attention! I must have done really good 'cause this week I get "Dog Daze Break"....no visit to the doctor. I'm pretty sure they will miss me! Hmmm, wonder what I'll do this week......!

Happy Birthday, Mimi!

My Mimi had a birthday this week...family sent her 50 black balloons! Haha...I'll bet Chess would like to get hold of those! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIMI! LOVE YOU!

I asked Gran is she was going to get fifty balloons on her next birthday....and she said, "Alice, that ship sailed a long time ago!" Huh?

Walk to My River
More catch up: When Gran came, we took lots of walks. It was pretty hot so we liked to walk down to MY RIVER! But walking with Gran means I get to stop & sniff everything I want to....we just took our time. Look at the funny tree that's on the way to the river!


With the far away thingey on Gran's camera you can see where they build the ships on MY RIVER! You can see it pretty good when you cross the bridge to come to my house also!


Well, here I am...hanging by my James River...it's really cool that this is only a block from my house. Gran remembered that we came down here to watch fireworks my very first 4th of July!


Yep, we just hung out! I LOVE MY RIVER! I'm a lucky girl to live so close to such a cool place!

COMING FALL PREVIEW: Gran & I are planning to do a whole post on My Neighborhood...and show you how cool it is! Of course, from a pup's-eye view....that is definitely on the drawing board!

THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!!!

This is back from Gran's visit...Look at all these little cow people, aren't they cute!! They are definitely MY PEOPLE....but let it be known...NOW & FOREVER...that I DO NOT want to have my picture taken with this guy!

Gran thought I would like to meet the MAN (or cow as is the case)....but I threw a fit of such biblical proportions even Chess would've been impressed!

Poor guy was shaking so bad he had to retreat inside and make peach milkshakes for the rest of the day! But I don't want my picture taken with him....Just saying! I did, however, thoroughly enjoy my nuggets which we got from the drive-through! Calmed me down quite nicely! ;>

Chemo Catch Up!!! Chemo #7

I'm in Dad's ride...going home from Chemo #7! (8/5/10) Docs said I was doing great...even put on a pound or two...which is no real surprise in light of what Dad had just suggested we do on the way home!!!! Can you see "nuggets" twirling in my eyes!!! They say my eye is getting better but SLOWLY!!!!



Still trying to get a "collar" on my technical difficulties in efficient postings...outsourcing has disadvantages but since I don't have thumbs...I have limited recourse! But.... I'm nothing if not patiently loyal, unconditionally hopeful & loving, eager only to please, steadfast & true...I'll just be here ready when you have time for me! (HA! That ought to do the trick!!!!)

Chemo #5

Well, here I am....coming home from Chemo #5! I KNOW!....gotta blog up BIG!...and thank you to everybody who has checked on me....my tail's still wagging away...pinkie paw promise I'll get you caught up! My GREAT NEWS (chemo #4) two weeks ago was that my doc couldn't even find any lymph nodes to check for shrinkage...that WAS BIG!...got new medicine from a special eye doc to work on this eye thing I've still got going....and then a "paws" in my treatment for a week! (sorry, you know I can't help myself!) Then I was back on deck for yesterday! You can see I'm soaking up the AC on my ride home....hot, hot, hot and we're not getting much rain up here! (but to get the good with the bad....not much thunder either!) I got lots of stuff to tell you about so I'll be back in just a wag or two! Stay cool!

Chemo #4 Today!

I'm going to Chemo #4 today...and I was watching mom pack stuff....wondering if we're going to ride back to Camp Grans when I get done...??? Mom started telling me that she & dad are going to a wedding this weekend..."WHAT? Seriously!.....again? And I am....???" Then she said when she gets me from the doc we are going to the airport and pick up Gran! What? Chess & I will be here with Gran...well, okay....that works....with a good chance for some black & white cows in MY weekend!!! I'll let you know how the chemo goes.

Tessa

I got to play with my friend,Tessa, this week while our moms did some work together...they trusted us to stay at home alone! We had SO much fun and really behaved so we can do it again...When they got home we played outside...and you can see we were really ready to run! Tessa is SO much fun - I hope she can come play at my house some...uh, maybe Chess could nap in mom & dad's room! hmmm....I really had fun with Tessa...she's really a sweet girl!

Tessa was sweet to share her water bowl with me...we were really thirsty!

My Dad's Nana

I told you we went to my dad's Nana's grave on his birthday on account of he doesn't get there much and she went up to heaven on his birthday six years ago! It was a good day for us to be there together. I know my Dad misses her...she was very special to him...plus she had a very special dog (like me) named Sunny! My gran says Sunny & Nana are in heaven right now taking walks on beaches and other cool places - bet that's exactly where sweet Smokey went also!...Nana actually moved herself & Sunny to LIVE AT THE BEACH one time but after about 13 years she moved back...(what?) Good for Nana to have those she loves with her! Gran says no doubt Nana knows everybody and everything that's going on...and making sure everybody has fun doing stuff! Sounds good to me! I could tell Dad was glad he took me there! I'm pretty sure Nana would have really loved me too!
