PLAY BALL!!!!!

Yay! It looks like somebody else got to hit the stands! Hmmm....not sure about the logo but sure am glad they got to watch their team!!!! WAIT! Gran just said it was his first baseball game..and that his hat was signed by the catcher.....now THAT is something to celebrate! I am SO doing a Snoopy dance!

Just call me a lap dog during this booming thunder & lightning - Gran would take a picture of the storm, but she can't get up. Sure do hope it ends soon!

Tapetum Lucidum

I got this - Chess has this - Gran does not have this.....which is why I was back here....


waiting for sweet Dr. Butler to tell Gran that my shiny eye was tapetum lucidum (he spelled it for me!) It's the thing in my eye that is still dialated and gives me "eyeshine".....my dad's eye would just have a big old black pupil....but, me, I got eyeshine....which is why I wound back up here! Dr. Butler said that it will slowly undialate. Gran said she was taking NO CHANCES! What I DON'T have any more is an ulcer on my cornea!!!!!! Yay! He said I look EXCELLENT....(but this was after the green Incredible Hulk stuff in my eye again and the wierd light!) He said I must have really been a good girl because I sure did heal well! (there were choices?) I'm still finishing up all my medicine to make sure it stays away. AND.....well, you know how a gran can be.....if I want to be out in the sunshine......sigh! (PS: Sadie, I wouldn't laugh too soon!)

BORED!

Pretty quiet around here....short rides in car.....Dandy takes me to walk after the sun goes down....lots of naps.....funny, I get lots of peanut butter goblets (?) Gran puts stuff in my eye that makes it feel better....oh, yeah!......the frosty paws still keep coming....but they're more fun when I've been running around in the yard! ((yawn)) Geeeezzzz....where am I and what did you do with my Camp Grans?

Had SO MUCH fun this weekend, TODAY...not so much! Always love a ride in the car even when not up to par...(that would be funny if I felt better!)

So now I got an ulcer on my cornea...

and 4 medicines to take....Dr. Butler was really, really sweet to me. He put some green stuff in my eye and then shined a light on it. I really loved Dr. Butler...he is a good friend of my dad's so I'm sure he really loved me too! He said I was a wonderful girl!!! He said my collar was really cool....robots and space ships... reminded him of my dad! He put some more stuff in my eye that made it feel a LOT better but I look like the Green Hulk (at least in my eye!) He said it would be better real soon...!


When we got back home Gran gave me a Frosty Paws.....so that was good.

For now I'm headed for a nap in the living room where
it's dark & cool! More on my fun weekend real soon!

MORE CAMP GRANS!!!!!

YIPPEE, SKIPPEE!!!!! My gran says that today is the day I get to go to my Mimi & Papa's house to visit!!!! AND I'll get to play with THE GIRLS!!!!!....I'll be real sweet & gentle 'cause I'm pretty much bigger than they are! See my pic from awhile back...the girls with our Mimi! Well, dog biscuits!..... I also wanted to show you my video of our trip to the farm with the girls (we were all a lot younger then!) but it won't fit on my blog! I tried & tried last night to get it to work...finally Gran checked the size and it's just too big to fit! Makes sense...cause I had a really big time at the farm! I still can't understand why I wasn't invited back...Gran says she thinks all the animals took a vote...what?? She also said not everything needs to go out into the public domain! ??? Anyway, boy did I have fun! But I'm going to have even more fun this weekend....I'll be waiting by the door!

Bou's Debut

Sweet Smokey

On Saturday afternoon my great great feline aunt Smokey flew up to heaven to be with her missy! I knew she was real old and slept a lot so I tried to be very sweet and gentle with her - she was real sweet to me! My gran said she had lived through two hurricanes in Florida - maybe that's why she loved sleeping in the warm sunshine on the porch!!! We will all miss her a lot!

Just Me

The grans were working in the yard...and I didn't have any company...so I made my own fun!    It was a hot day, and it suited me just fine!

I did have some lazy days this past week...resting up...but one evening another new friend came to see me.

  His name is Bou - and he is sorta the same kind of dog as Abby, but you know what....Bou is a hunting dog!  You can see we had a lot of fun playing in the yard.

Oh, yeah,  Bou told me he has a video on YouTube...and I told him I did also...I'm not sure he believed me!

Anyway,  I will try & put his video up on my blog if I can.   His dad,Warren,  and my gran and my uncle Ben are on it with him.

Feel Good News

Wow, are we excited! On the very first morning I woke up at Camp Grans we were reading what AC Pup had posted on FB...he needed somebody to bring some special food for one of his friends at the shelter. Luke is a trained service dog who had terrible, terrible allergies and all the hair on his face had fallen out. AC was afraid nobody could see how wonderful he was just because he was bald faced! So Gran said, "Alice, let's go for our morning ride!" We rode to the most wonderful place - just full of all kinds of smells - A FARM STORE! (who knew!) Minton Feed & Seed had the special food that Luke needed...and I got to go in and help get it. I ran all over that store and had so much fun! Something else funny.....there is some guy named Elvis who stands out by the street ALL DAY....how funny is that! So we got loaded up and went down to AC Pup's place where he keeps all his buddies....and gave them the food. We missed AC Pup because he was working at one of the schools....but we wanted Luke to start eating his new food as soon as possible......(AC sent me a message later telling me to come back down to have our pictures taken together.....Gran promised to do that!) Anyway....my point of all of this is the message we got yesterday!!!

WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR LUKE!!!!!

Ac Pup: Remember Luke, the sweet boy who is a trained service dog? You helped me with his special food he needed for his allergies? It worked, he looks terrific and he was adopted today to be the service dog/mascot at Flint River senior citizens center! What a very touching success story!!! Stop by Flint River to visit him!

Ac Pup: You know what's really sweet? The residents took a field trip to the shelter to see Luke. Then he got on the bus to go home with them as if he knew that was his new family. he will be able to help the senior citizens because he's trained and they will love him. I really need a tissue now.

See why we are so happy! Gran says my dad's Nana would say, "Good job, Alice!"

Whew! Another busy day!

Well, yesterday was the day to CLEAN UP from the party so the grans & I went back out to where Rocky Linnenkohl lives. Boy, is Rocky lucky!!! It was like Bark Park with lots of neat stuff to smell from the party the night before. I was pr-e-t-t-y busy checking it all out! There was Rocky and Charley and Bailey....and Izzey had been there the night before.

What?

Charley & I were checking that no crumbs were left on the ground where they were cooking the night before.

And then guess what....

We went back home with all our stuff loaded...and there was SADIE and her mom & dad!!!

Well, you know what happened then....

We ran and ran and ran and ran. Then we jumped in the pool....and splashed and splashed and splashed!!!!!

When we decided to go up on the porch......we were pretty tired. But we decided to wrestle some more.....

That's when my uncle Ben gave us some water bottles to play with.....

We chewed those up pretty quickly and decided to wrestle some more.

Sadie & I just have so much fun! Right before Sadie had to go, my gran gave us both a bath with shampoo (not just swimming!) so we were squeaky clean....until we jumped in the pool again.

That night I didn't even watch tv with the Grans....I just went into the sunroom all by myself and went to sleep..later I could hardly go upstairs to bed with them. I dreamed of haybales, cooking smells, swimming, running, Charley, Rocky, Bailey, and, of course, Sadie! I think that this next day I am just going to nap all day!

My gran was so excited...mom & dad sent her this picture in a SmileBox Mother's Day Card!  They said, "Happy Mother's Day from Germany!" but I know this picture is from our house.  See the clock on the wall that belonged to my dad's Nana.  He said that clock came from Germany...wait, now I'm confused!  Anyway, aren't my mom & dad cute!!!   I really love them.
